A new threat to the First Amendment has arisen: Criminal prosecutors throughout the country are charging rappers such as Young Thug with conspiracy crimes based on the contents of their lyrics. This tactic by prosecutors is literally criminalizing rap music.

In their article for Billboard magazine, Jeffrey Movit, Priya Chaudhry, and Awais Arshad of ChaudhryLaw call for new legislation to stop this abhorrent tactic.
