Sophia Mailhos
Legal Assistant
Sophia Mailhos is a legal assistant at ChaudhryLaw PLLC. A recent graduate of Marist College, she holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in environmental policy, as well as a paralegal certificate from Marist’s ABA-approved program. While a student, Sophia worked with several nonprofits to advance social and economic equality in the Hudson Valley through community action.
Before joining the firm, Sophia had several internships in the legal field. During her undergraduate years, she interned for a law firm in Poughkeepsie, New York that handles real estate, banking, litigation, estate planning, and family law. Sophia also interned with the Hartford Public Defender’s office where she acquired firsthand experience of interviewing new inmates in courthouse lock-up, and observed arraignments and other court proceedings.
Sophia has always had a strong belief in justice and fairness, and a respect for the power and reach of the law. She eventually plans to attend law school and pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer.
